Start with a confirmed separate area
Park of the Americas explicitly lists separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. Orange County’s published overview also describes separate size areas across its 13 dog parks, including Barber, Downey and West Orange. That makes these useful starting points, without pretending one park is the right fit for every small dog.
Three places to compare
For Conway, start with Barber Park. On the east side, compare Downey, where the county also identifies a time-out area. For Winter Garden and Ocoee, look at West Orange. Park of the Americas is another option east of downtown, with a published 7 am opening.
Read the sign before choosing a gate
The county overview describes a division at 30 pounds. Follow the actual signs at the enclosure, especially if your dog is near the limit. A small-dog area can still be busy; watch the play for a few minutes and return another time if your dog seems uncomfortable.
Keep the first visit simple
Bring a leash, water and cleanup bags. Keep the leash on until you are inside the appropriate entry area, and stay close enough to supervise. County rules prohibit food in the enclosure and require owners to remove dogs at the first sign of aggression.
A note about Lake Druid
The city confirms a fenced run but does not document a separate small-dog section on its current park page. We leave that field unconfirmed instead of filling the gap with an assumption. Call the park or suggest a correction backed by current evidence.
